First Long Run Recap

Yesterday the hubby and I set foot out onto the Los Gatos Creek Trail to accomplish our 6 mile run!  It was a gorgeous and cool morning.  We were ready....so I thought!

Pros:
Nice to be back on the trail
Saw fellow runners
Inspiration
Trail wasn't packed
Sun was shining
6.03 miles
58:07 minutes
534 calories burned
Great Music
Positive vibes from Alex
Miles 3-4 got better and Alex was pushing me thru
Miles 5-6 ROCKED!


Cons:
Mile 1-2 were the HARDEST.  Must have stopped at least 3 times to stretch and legs were cramping up.
I think the reason why I had a hard time for the first 2 miles was I was a little tired and I drank alcohol the night before. Will def not be doing that again.

I am relazing that training for a marathon is no joke!  Granted I have trained for 10k's, 12's and a few half marathons, but this is really no JOKE!

So, with that said for my next long run I am going to bed early and no alcohol consumption!

This is week 2 and tmrw we are heading out for 3 miles.
